Oxford Schools Challenge - Adult Terms & Conditions

I confirm that I am over 18 years of age and either; a teacher at the school or have been asked by the school to support/attend with the school teacher, at the Motiv Sports UK Oxford Schools’ Challenge, which takes place on Sunday 13 October 2024.

By agreeing to this waiver and consent I further confirm that: 

(a) I give my permission to take part in the Schools’ Challenge; 

(i) I am mentally and physically fit and I do not suffer from any medical condition that I haven’t already communicated with the school, that could affect my ability to participate in the Schools Challenge. Any related medical data or equipment required, will be on my person at all times during the Schools Challenge. 

(ii) I understand photographs will be taken during the Oxford Schools’ Challenge which may, subsequently be used by Motiv Sports UK Limited (“Motiv Sports”), or a member of its group, for promotional purposes. 

(b) entry is free for teachers/staff wanting to run as part of their school team (although please note that teachers do not receive a medal or goody bag). We stipulate that there must be a minimum of 1 member of staff to every 5 KS1 pupils (aged 4-7), and 1 member of staff to every 10 pupils thereafter; 

(c) members of staff will at all times be responsible for the safety and welfare of the children during the Schools’ Challenge, including on the day the final mile is ran. In particular, we would highlight that the goody bags distributed at the end of the event contain food products. It is the responsibility of the staff to ensure that: (i) they are aware of any allergies that the children under their care may have; and (ii) that such children do not consume anything from the goody bag to which they are allergic; and 

(d) I understand and acknowledge that in taking part in the Schools’ Challenge, I will be doing so entirely at my own risk and save for any liability for: (a) fraudulent misrepresentation; or (b) death or personal injury arising from negligence, I hereby irrevocably and unconditionally: 

(i) waive, to the fullest extent permitted by law, the right to bring any form of claim that I may have against Motiv Sports UK Limited (“Motiv Sports”) (and any of its officers, directors, employees, sub-contractors, sponsors, agents and affiliates) (together the “Relevant Persons”) in connection with or as a result of taking part in the Schools’ Challenge; and 

(ii) release the Relevant Persons from any liability in respect of any such claim I may have.
